HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT
What we do:
 
IMPLEMENT THE HEALTH AND SAFTEY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
 

How we do it?

  • Conduct monthly JHSC Meetings and prepare monthly minutes and Trend Analysis. 
  • Prepare store specific Health and Safety Policy, MSDS Binders and all necessary WSIB and MOL postings. 
  • Prepare and implement Pre-Use Inspections for Toaster, Ladder, Van and Bagel Slicer. 
  • Prepare Pre-Start Up Inspection Binder and conduct Start Up Inspection on equipment and modifications. 
  • Prepare Contractor package and send out letters to each contractor that includes Pre-Qualification Checklist, Contractor Rules and Contract and request WSIB Clearance Certificate to complete Contractor Management Program. 
  • Prepare quarterly Communication Letter for the Health and Safety Communication Program. 
  • Prepare Store specific WHMIS program and train all employees on the safe use of chemicals in the store. 
  • Train and fit test employees that use the 3M 8577 or the 3M 8247 respirator. 
  • Prepare New Employee Health and Safety Training Program and conduct training for all employees on the legislative requirements, PPE, First Aid, Accident Reporting, ESRTW Program, Lockout and Tag and Emergency Procedures. 
  • Prepare store specific hazard training and train every employee on them. (Cuts, Burns, Slips and Falls, Back Safety, Ergonomics, Blood Borne Pathogens, Ladder Safety, Electrical Safety and Bagel Slicer Safety) Equivalent to W.S.I.B. PART TWO WORKPLACE SPECIFIC HAZARD TRAINING. 
  • Conduct and document store specific Hazard Analysis. 
  • Prepare and implement store specific equipment Preventative Maintenance Program. 
  • Provide W.S.I.B. PART ONE Tim Hortons specific BASIC HEALTH AND SAFETY CERTIFICATION TRAINING. 
  • Prepare and implement Owner, Manager and Supervisor Health and Safety Inspections. 
  • Liaison with the MOL Inspector on behalf of the Owner.    
  • Prepare your store specific Health and Safety Procedures Manual to respond to the Workwell Core Audit.   
  • Prepare Owners for the Workwell Core Audit by training them on the Health and Safety Procedures Binder and the Workwell Audit questions .
  • Sit with Owners and Workwell Auditors during the Audit process.

 

Part 1
W.S.I.B. CLAIMS MANAGEMENT

What we do:

 

ASSIST WITH THE MANAGEMENT OF W.S.I.B. CLAIMS.

 

How we do it?

 

  • We assist the Owner with the proper completion of the WSIB Employers Report Form 7.
  • Assist Owner with the proper completion of employee Accident/Incident Reports. 
  • Follow up with the WSIB Adjudicator and follow up on claim status. 
  • Prepare and train the Owner on the ESRTW Program. 
  • Assist with the ESRTW Program by helping the Owner with the Offer of Modified Work letter to the Worker and the letter to the physician. 
  • Support the Owner with all the documentation for the ESRTW Program. 
  • Sit with Owner for any Mediation issues/meetings.
  • Support the Owner with any claim related questions and provide direction for proper action. 
  • Follow up with the injured worker to explain the ESRTW Program. 
  • Follow up with physician on Functional Abilities Limitation issues 
  • Provide Owners with step-by-step support for WSIB claims and questions.  
  • Prepare letters to WSIB when issues arise to keep the Adjudicator current of claim issues. 
  • Follow up on behalf of the Owner with the WSIB Account Manager.
  • Liaison with the WSIB Adjudicators, ESRTW Program Coordinators, Nurse Case Managers, WSIB Mediators and Account Managers as required.
